Bodyshaping with Cory. As a teen whose sex drive was off the charts (and a teen that didnt get ass until he was close to 17) this was a GOD send! Cory and the two other broads working out on the beach. Man, I would set my VCR to tape this show.

SI Swimsuit issue. I must have set a world record in yanking when i got this issue.

First time backstage at a bbing show and seeing the FBB in posing suits. Mmmmm. Camel toe and ass. I had to focus on NOT getting a chubby

I would take having any one of those physiques any day over the top 20 at the Mr. Olympia now.

Ever read his book Muscle Wars? Not bad.

You can tell there's a bunch of vitriol he's holding back for fear of reprisal from Weider.

And he lends allusions to the seedier side of bodybuilding without fully pulling back the shade. At times, it feels disingenuous, but he had a reputation to protect I suppose. Still, it's about as honest a tale as you would get back in the 80s without reading Fussell's quasi-auto-biographical exploration of physical culture.

Worth a read anyway, if you're a fan.

for everyday life victor martinez has just about the best physique in the history of bodybuilding. the muscle looks extremely natural on him.  for those of you guys who admire a body that pulls pussy....  ask any woman what they think of victor.  ;)

That pic was taken the day after the 70 olympia

Draper refused to pose until weider paid him, arnold loaned him the cash he had on him from his winnings

Sergio arrived 3-4 hrs late and said they must hurry up, he had a plane to catch back to chicago, and also refused to pose till paid.

That's the story according to Wayne

I can't remember now...and I should. But I don't think Wayne ever did the Olympia. Multiple Mr. Universe and Mr. World titles, but never did the "O".

I wonder, cause he wasn't a midget...but perhaps we would have been in the short class in those days. If so, if the judging was fair, he would have cleaned house and crushed Zane and Columbu, etc...he was very complete, and even had great legs back in the day...a rarity. Later on in the late 70s, Zane would have beaten him...but in the early 70s he was untouchable in my opinion. And he was always in shape, with great abs, chest and arms. I can't see anyone in those days (early 70s) beating him in the short class. Tall class would have been a different matter...he looked great, but wasn't as complete from the back as Arnold or Oliva, or as perfect looking and wide from the front like Nubret.

I always wonder why he just never pulled it together and did it. Probably got too busy penning Weider's ghost-written articles in the day, and of course, probably made better money (unless Uncle Joe paid his scribes with BIG protein pills and powder in those days too)!
