Spot on with this. IMO both democrats and republicans would do well to push away the neoconservative influence that has plagued American politics over the last few decades and as much as possible return to their traditional platforms. And yes, neoconservatives have also strongly influenced democrats. Those fuckers don't take no as an answer, they have pushed for and gotten most of what they want even with a dem in office.
I thought the last election was about voting neoconservitism out of power but that didn't remotely happen. These guys had their tentacles in deep and rode out the storm and came back full strength. They not only persuade what happens in this admin, they also make up the bulk of advisors to Mitt Romney so they have both angles covered. Sad but true.
