The dude is almost dead anyway.  It's really hard to say if he failed.  He went up against some pretty major powers including the US and major corporations and didn't back down. dude had some major balls.

You might hate me saying this, but I don't think it's hard to imagine that it's hard for a native population to watch foreign interests come in and cash in bigtime while they grow more poor and watch others get all the benefits from their resources.  Hugo Chavez happened because of greed and ignorance toward a very large portion of the population.  It's easy to just say Hugo is evil but you should ask why.  It didn't happen for nothing.  He's a product of what was happening.

anyway, what does it matter now?  The guy is going to be pronounced dead any day now.  The only reason I can guess that stuff like this is making the rounds on the net now is that it is an attempt to head off whatever he meant to people when he dies.  They don't want him being a hero or having any sort of legacy.  LOL, wrong target audience.  Our opinions don't matter on this.

Well - Chavez tried all his marxist shit and it failed - like it always does.  Leftisim, marxism, communism, is a cancer any time it is tried.
