He's basically a good NPC caliber competitor, just a fresh face compared to the Branchs, etc.

One thing I do think, is that the US competitors possibly might rely more on insulin (I'm no expert, so I am taking a guess), due to their look vs Russian and ME competitors...I believe GH15 spoke on this.

Do 'future Mr Olympia's ever do very well? Ronnie Coleman used to be 'that guy who always places 10th' when Dorian was around.

He doesn't look small compared to the current top guys:

My first thoughts on seeing him were: "How tall is he?" and "His chest is a bit weak."

Still a great physique though. Reminiscent of bodybuilders from the 70s/80s. I don't think he will look better if he gets any bigger/heavier. Good calves. Has the right balance between upper and lower leg, so i think extra thigh size wouldn't improve him, and his arms are probably already a touch too big for the rest of his body.

And he is hating on Jason Genova. lol

Generally in Europe judges tend to be in favor of excellent conditioning as apposed to the States where structure and size seem to be more important. One thing is for sure, the shape most national level NPC competitors display at the Nationals wouldn't impress the judges in Europe even if they out muscle the competition by 30 lbs. Then again in Europe some shitty physiques have been pretty successful.

Never got why Flex supposedly was that great anyway. Sure if you knew his age it was impressive, but delts and arms completely overpowering his weird lats. Horrible fdb and bdb. His back did get a little bit better in recent years, but still...

He's not that bad for an amateur, but he's far from pro level. His big advantage is his conditioning, but size wise he isn't much different than those other two guys. And look at his arms, big but almost zero peak on his biceps.
BTW, after seeing this pic I must conclude that pic with Dennis must be shopped.
