That's fucked up.  I waited tables for summer while in school, and I have all the respect for the world for them because I sucked at it so bad.  I always tip 20% on the entire bill, and even when I was in Europe I still did it.  Waiters there were stellar.

Australia is a no-tip country but has some of the worst service I've ever experienced in my life.  Far worse than the US.

SE Asia had far better service, they treat you like kings and are ecstatic over a $1 tip.
