This topic sums up most humans in a nutshell, some are conservative traditionalists (it was always better before, be it economy or back when supes had red undies on top of his pants) or the more liberal group who are not afraid of trying a new thing, and are more open to a new way of life, or superman without red undies.
tis true oh wise one... Like any other kid I was a big fan of Superman, many times I dressed up like him at costume parties, and for halloween etc. I even made my wife go see the Brandon Routhe Version Superman Returns - while we were on our honeymoon!
I never hated the red undies.... But one has to wonder... its just weird! Why would Jor El leave his son a superman costume and tell him "Wear the red undies on the outside" Maybe Kal-El got confused and wore them on the outside instead of under the blue leggings... and as a result he just kinda had to go with it cause everybody saw him! I mean... what sort of grown man wears red underwear OVER his blue tights!
Change is good... I welcome this change.....
Batman originally wore grey tights, and a Blue mask and cape (oh and he too had blue undies over his grey tights).... yet no one complained when Tim Burton had Michael Keaton wear ALL BLACK... and this new look continued up until the Dark Knight Rises!!!
