"Candid" military coming home stories = BULLSHIT!

Over the last couple of months I must have seen a dozen stories of some military dude surprising his wife or kids coming back from a tour.  Good stories except these "candid" moments have about 12 news stations there waiting for the coverage.
I'm pretty sure most military guys are not coming home on a ship and start calling all the new stations to show up telling them they want to surprise their daughter at school.  This military PR bullshit is so nauseating.  Trying to have these feel good strories that are conjured up is total bullshit.

You'd think the wife sitting at home with twelve news vans and cameramen sitting in her living room would expect this surprise when her husband "unexpectably" walks through the door.  lol

Why do you care so much is it because you want you re freedoms but are to afraid to stand up for them.History is full of wars and battles some we agree with and some we don't that's fine we cant all agree but at least us few had the heart and balls to put on the uniform and defend what we have today COWARD. AND YES I WAS A MARINE AND DAMN PROUD OF IT.

Excellent post!  Funny train comment and sadly very true about the military thing. Can't stand when Iraq and afghanistan vets say they fought for our freedom. Umm yeah they were never a threat to us you fought for corporations and politicians not freedom, very sad that people die for no reason under the guise of freedom.

Even a step further, some vets claim to have fought for freedom while a reservist in Oklahoma or some other state. Not saying there are heros in the service but donning that uniform doesn't entitle you to wear a cape and walk around like a medal of valor winner

LMAO!!!! I hate to say it.. some of the military "wives" I know are some of the biggest whores. A girl from my high school got knocked up by my buddy and her husband thinks it is his, despite being deployed lol.
