Funny how someone said they were about to make an historical discovery then some days later officials say "no finally, we didnt make an historical discovery, it was a mistake/joke/someone talking out of his ass, nothing to see here".

NASA: from landing people on alien planets and using robots to explore the known universe, to producing video clips disproving the sorts of half-baked ideas people like Wiggs attach to.  :'(

Fuck the USG and its go-for-the-low-hanging-fruit approach to budget cuts.

I can't believe that was a serious video they made.  Can you imagine going to school and securing a job at NASA?  Fuck yes!  Yes, I work at NASA, thank you very much.

And one day the boss tells you that your project is to put together a presentation explaining to the public why the world isn't going to end on a magical day.  You'd be... but I work here at NASA.  I can engineer a fucking spaceship down to the last nut and washer.  You want me to spend my time teaching a retard class?  Get the fuck out of here!  Let 'em jump off a building.

Quote
MIT scientist Dr. Walt Brown (a creationist) in his book "In The Beginning " points out that during the great Genesis flood, as recorded in the Bible, the fountains of the deep that were let loose could have easily spewed out meteors and meteorites into space that very well may have contained micro-organisms such as bacteria. One thing for sure is that life requires intelligent creation and doesn't come by chance. NASA knows all this but looking for life on other planets is a powerful way to motivate people to want their government to give more and more money to NASA. NASA, after all, is a business with hefty salaries at stake.
