Tom Woods on youtube shows how wild west wasnt, with most of west armed and fewer cities outlaws would be hunted down quick and there are more bank roberies now than old west by far.

I only saw one at that looked a little WTF.  With the 4 year old kid in bed with a doll and pistol lol... 

I can't believe they even had issue with BB gun ads ::)

If you put a 22 rifle on the shoulder of every 7th grader in the country (like we had back in the day), I highly doubt we'd all be high fiving, fishin at the ol watering hole.

Maybe where you live.  Out here nobody is going to have a problem with a father going out and teaching their kids gun safety and how to shoot and buying them a rifle.

And no, not every kid was walking around armed back then ::) So that's kind of a silly thing to suggest for today when it wasn't true back then.  Yes it wasn't unusual for some kids to have their own rifles but you make it sound like they all were just handed a rilfle and set loose lol...

I just meant that whole gun culture - kids go hunting, rifles easy access at home, and a generation of more responsible kids...

I think that ship has sailed, those times are gone.  Today's kids are (as a whole) hooked on their meds, video games, lack of morals... they just woudln't go back to 1950s moral code if hunting was intro'd into their lives.  They're (as a whole) just a mess.
