Sundown towns

I just read a book about how race relations took a wrong turn around 1890. Many of the freed slaves that were initially welcomed all over the US during Reconstruction were being forced out of town after town in the US. Many of these towns had signs outside of town that read something like "black, don't let the sun set on your black ass in Harrison!" and stuff alike. Many of these signs were up until well into the 1990s. And worst of all, these towns had covenants that forbade blacks from owning a house in such town.

Do you know of any towns in your area that were or are sundown towns? I know Darien in CT is one. They still have oral covenants prohibiting people from selling their house to an AA or a Jew.
