It seems as though Dave Palumbo has found a new friend while traveling through Brazil and he goes by the name of John of God.

John of God (real name Joao de Deus) however is nothing more than an elaborate and well versed scam artist. He supposedly heals people through some bullshit called “psychic surgery” and gives people “magical herbs” which he touts can heal diseases such cancer, AIDS, bad breath, and stubbed toes. Over the years, he’s also incorporated some other “medical procedures” such as shoving a pair of forceps up a person’s nose and putting his head on their bellies to see if he can hear the ocean.

Now, I’m not going to write a long and drawn out article because this snake peddler doesn’t deserve it but I have to wonder about Dave Palumbo’s state of mind in accepting his word as gospel. Dave of all people should be able to see through this kook right away….after all he did spend 2 years in medical school…while this John of God is nothing more than a farmer who has the education of a middle school kid. Yet, he spent a great majority of his recent radio show ranting and raving about the wonders of this person. However the fact remains that this “John of God” is a complete fraud and charlatan who has clearly contaminated the mind and soul of Dave Palumbo for profit.

Personally, I believe in the benefits of herbal medicine…it is the foundation of modern day Western Medicine. However, things such as psychic surgery would make Hippocrates roll over in his grave. Stay away from people like John of God because they not only steal your money but they also steal away your confidence and trust in help when you realize that you have been duped

"John of God" penetrates him via psychic surgery. Dave experiences a surge of both adrenaline and endorphins while John touches him, which results in a day or so of bliss. Dave comes back and believes he is cured. A month later after his regularly scheduled bloodwork, Dave faces the truth. Dave seeks out another "cure".
