Bro, with all due respect, when you start comparing Texas seceding from the States as an example as to what the Croatians were doing in 91, you aren't even in the same ball park.
Croatia was an independent state in it's history before 1991. The people in that area always considered themselves Croats, speaking the Croatian language and so forth. It was never any of this Serbo-Croatian nonsense, nor was it ever meant to be some short lived group of states all lumped together. The two are separate.
As much as you'd like to think that JNA had some right to attack Croatia you are wrong. I'm completely baffled as to how you could come up with such a ludicrous notion.
Croatia was occupied by Germany and Italy and divided into German and Italian occupation zones but not all Croats were fascists and not all Serbs were pro allied. The history during this time is written differently by all sides with all claiming to have the truth but none of this justifies attacking a nation that wants to reclaim it's independence.
Lastly, there are many Serbs that live in Croatia and they have lived there without fear of any kind and they have been doing this for a long time. Unfortunately, its just not enough for some politically deranged jerk offs and they always have to stir the pot where ultimately the innocent suffer.
As far as your comment regarding who has more nationalists is concerned, as an outsider looking in, I think you have a totally biased view. Both sides have their equally fanatical individuals for some reasons that are different and for some that are the same. Ultimately, the people in that area need to understand that they have a common enemy as far as I can tell and they need to put the past behind them and respect their neighbors.
