I have quite a few Croatian friends here in Canada, and all say Dubrovnik is amazingly beautiful.
A friend of mine was building a hotel & resort off the coast, ...but that was prior to everything falling apart in the early 90's.
These days the only one I know that is on the ground in Hrvatska is Boris who is in Zagreb. He claims the country just isn't what it used to be. They still haven't recovered from the war, ...and the citizens are forbidden from importing gold.
It will be interesting to see if they do indeed become a member of the EU, ...especially after witnessing the plunder of Greece, and Cyprus (provided of course that the EU manages to remain intact tip then)
Croatia is technically speaking in European Comunity, officially they'll be in on the 1st July 2013.
Forbidden import of gold, get real.
With Norway,Danmark,Finland & Sweden the 5th state richest country in EU (in some countries government/state sold everything).
Visit Plitvice Lakes, un precedent beauty ,Dubrovnik, football city Split,Kornati island's,Gladiators Arena in Pula, all young speaks English,
older ones mostly Italian/German.
