I think if you knowingly and falsely accuse someone of a crime, you should receive the same penalties and consequences as the ones the falsely accused person would get if convicted, along with perjury and any other charges. But in the age of political correctness the focus is always on the "victim" (ie the one making the accusation) and there's no sympathy for the real victim.
