client is selling me a 55" LED (LG, and I believe a smart tv)..

now I gotta get cable.. or sat tv.

I've been looking at plans, and I can get a cable/internet package for 70/month, but if I want to view or record HD I need to pay an extra $10/month for an HD box, or an extra $22/month for a dvr/hd thing..

can I just BUY a box? or one of my employees uses their PS3 to get Netflix, does a ps3 do the same thing an HD box does?

... keep in mind I was in prison when the whole HD thing became norm, and still don't have cable/sat or internet at home.. lol.. i'm never home (working, like a good parole should be. haha), so all this shit is completely new to me.

  • I hope I'm not boring you.
If you have a wifi connection in the house, you can use a Roku box to stream Netflix on your television. I have one on a little used tv, and it works great -

EH, DOn't feel bad about being an idiot!

I can discuss Quantum Mechanics somewhat intelligently, but I have no idea how to turn this damn new TV set on.

And once it is on and running, I have no idea how to switch the channels.

This new set came with a 36 page instructional manual but even that makes no sense to me.

Get the HD cable box.

This is not a knock, but given the questions you're asking, it's the easiest and most straightforward solution for you.
