I remember this fight well. I think this is where Toney peaked. Hard to believe he's still fighting 15 years later. Williams was a great LHW champ and dropped down to SMW.

I used to box a bit in the late 80's early 90's in and around the Detroit area. One GYM I used to go to was in Dearborn Hights called the KROY boxing center. Very amateur set-up. The best fighters there weren't even fringe contenders and most were primarily washed up kick-boxers. Every once in a while Toney would come in and spar. He was an asshole (hard to imagine right?) He wouldn't talk to anybody and He would go all out on his sparring partners. Around this time Toney was around 20-0, he had not beat Nunn yet but he was an established pro. He'd go way overboard aginst these guys, like he hated them or wanted to hurt them. Once He was sparring a guy who had to be 45 years old, maybe older. Toney beat the fucking crap out of him. Went way beyond typical sparring. Then when he would leave he would never pay his GYM fee's.

  It works for some    like Ali, Roy, Floyd, etc.,    but I go with the law of averages     I would rather lose doing every thing correctly     than to do some crazy clown shit and do every thing wrong

 Yeah   but by the time he got to Jeff he was done   so many battle miles in boxing and kick boxing     but he was one of the few greats who could box and kick box
