Agree Parker but the national figures/leaders don't seem to be aggressive in tackling the root causes, they are more interested in ralling people about injustice, profiling, racism, etc...which are issues but not the major root issues in the community.
they will not tackle them...it is their best interest to not tackle them. And attacking only helps them, because when you attack someone, it makes that person a victim, and only vindicates their position.
And that is the problem that most don't see. Our American culture of attacking doesn't work when it's our own citizenry. There must be tact involved...And genuine concern. No motive like ratings, monetary gain, but genuine concern for the out come of this nation and the many communities that make this nation what it is.
All these factions---media and others, are only out to serve their own agendas. You think Rush Limbaughs care one wit about the Aussie guy or that white WWII Vet? Hell No! It's about ratings. Do you think he cares about the black o black crime? He'll No. Do you think CNN does? He'll No. Because without these headlines, they get no hits, they get less listeners, which means less sponsors, which means less money.
The media has become dependant on crime---the more heart wrenching the better. And Jesse and Al are dependant on today's black folk always looking to them---it's sense of power. Why solve the problems?
There is opportunity to be made from tragedy....
