Keeping the muscle once you've built it
« on: September 26, 2013, 10:00:11 AM »
Question for you guys, say a bber was to blast a real heavy bulking cycle for a good few months, a lot of sustanon, deca, dbol, insulin, growth etc and built a lot of muscle doing so, taking him way over his 'natural limit', how hard would it then be to maintain all that added size or even slowly make gains using way lower doses

basically blasting a ton of gear until you are a size you are happy with, then significantly lowering the dose to maintain/slowly build muscle, how plausible is this

If you need steroids to gain muscle, you'll need them to retain it. Anything you retain afterwards likely could have been put on naturally, but I won't split hairs.

Steroid muscle is leased muscle in a nutshell. Once you stop injecting it will go away. I've come to learn this the hard way. So max out natural, juiced, whatever, and keep the best care of your body that you can. Always stay super conditioned and that also helps with composition. But those juice gains will go away once your natural production takes over again.

How about trying to gain as much size naturally first build a base! Then go on a low to medium dosage! No substitute for hard work! Train you're as off and eat!

guys, what im saying is, for example going from a decent starting point (220lbs 8%bf) > blasting your way up to 280lbs offseason weight, then once you've built that size, maintaining/slowly gaining on 500mg test with some dbol thrown in, real easy beginner cycles.. how possible is that
ya we know what you are saying, here is your answer.

The amount of juice to sustain size would be around one third the juice, however this number will very on many different variables.

I will use myself as an example, last year I had an injury so I dropped everything then started again, dosed high for about 8 months now I think, first half one gram second half 2 grams plus.

now I am 220 at 5 foot 9 under 8% body fat, too maintain these numbers I can get away with taking 750mg per week and to go into new territory I need 2000 mg or more, almost not worth it but the deeper you go, the further past your limit you get and the crazier the numbers become.

Short answer....it's takes YEARS AND YEARS to build muscle. To build quality muscle that lasts, small doses for longer cycles. Even most pro bodybuilders don't have quality muscle, they look good for the moment. Once they come off of a heavy cycle that muscle all but disappears. Bodybuilders that come to mind as a reference, Tom Prince and Mohammed (forgot his last name, the dude Milos fucked up. What was his last name? Huge legs).

I suggest you toughen up and train natural.  If that doesn't go well, join a bowling league.
That's the best advice you'll get on here.

Just hide your stretched out belly button when you cut, and then go on tv  ;) -

.

(back story for those that wonder, Bruce Randall was a old time pro that would bulk to the #350 - 400 range, then cut to a bit over #200).
