Dillett, Fux, Ruhl, Wolf, and now Ramy...and to an extent Nasser, all share the same thing. They are the "mass monsters. They serve a purpose...and they always will. Their purpose is to excite people with their mass, their hugeness. And this sells tickets. But, they are always missing some components to be "complete".

Ruhl took over from Dillett, Fux and Nasser, as Ruhl faded Wolf shone, and took over from him. And when Wolf goes down it will be Ramy that he pass the torch to.

Wolf isn't a "mass monster." He's got a tight waist and the best X frame on stage. His mass doesn't overwhelm his frame. he looks like a bodybuilder, not a freak. He's 269 lbs at 6'1" Is Toney Freeman a "mass monster" too? Of course not. Taller doesn't make a bodybuilder a "mass monster"

And yes Toney is a Mass monster...Dillett was in the 260s when he first came on the scene. And they called him And when Levrone competed in the high 250s he was called a Mass Monster. Wolf can't even make the necessary improvements to win an Arnold...it's laughable that Branch won over him.
Since 2007, has FAILED to step it up. And Toney? Toney couldn't get his Pro Card back in the 90s...and still can't get it together for the last day...always looks good in the bathroom.
And just what is Wolf and Toney trying to do, since you are privy to it? Ruhl looked great when he won the NOC, but he knew he was a big dude, and Ramy as well. yep, Dillett had a better taper, he had a "V" taper, Wolf and Dex who have high lats have a "Y" taper.

What is a mass monster? It's a bigger than normal bber, and it usually combines height as well. Dillett, Chris Duffy, Nasser, Fux, Marko, Ruhl, Toney Freeman, Ronnie Coleman (when he went past 250), Gunter, Ramy, and Wolf are all mass monsters.
Wolf is bigger than Phil, who is possibly in his 240s or more, he's bigger than Kai, he's the biggest guy in the line up bar Toney and and possibly Beyeke and Cedric.
Now, nobody has set a bodyweight on "mass monster", but if a 260 pound Nasser was called a "mass monster", and a 265 pound Dillett was called a mass monster and a freak, then why isn't Wolf?

So, Wolf's mass is not a dominant factor? And what about Dillett, Chris Luffy, Nasser? All were Symmetrical, balanced, great lines, balance and proportions...
Let's face it, your definition of "Mass Monster" is your definition. Because, there is no definitive definition of "mass monster" in bodybuilding terms.

Wolf has a great frame and is proportionate. ..his mass is not his dominant characteristic. Parker just doesn't like Wolf for some reason.

I think Branch is just some dude with big quads who gets outmassed by guys like Wolf and Kai...and for the life of me I can't understand how he has beaten guys like Wolf who are more complete and detailed than Branch.
I don't like guys who supposedly have the tools but never do what needs to be done---like Melvin Anthony...
Wolf, I think has been hyped up since 2007, and I've been waiting for him to live up to the hype. Meanwhile, Phil comes on the scene in 2006, wins his first two Pro Shows, and steadily and brought up his weight and lagging parts. Kai as well has improved. It shows what a champion will do, and what an also ran will do (yes, I know Wolf has won a few contests)...Wolf is not hungry.

Wolf should have beaten Jay in 2007 and killed Branch at the Arnold. I was there and it was a joke. Although I do not see him Phil's league by any means, he is top three in the world. Except for a lack of calves and a non-existent lower back he is amazing. Great taper. Tight waist. Huge and ripped thighs. I love Dennis the Russian Bear. However, honestly, anyone who thinks he beats out Phil is just hating. Phil waxes him every which way but Sunday. Kai to me is the freak of freaks. He is by far more impressive than Ramy, who IMO came out flat. Phil easily wins this.
