kai is over. his gut is out of control and he cant get the razor conditioning he used to.

every pic you showed has him loosing clearly to heath and wolf. you are blinded by the grapefruit in your eyes.

In the relaxed front pose it was so obvious that Kai could not contend with Phil. In a totally relaxed pose you really see the genetics.

Kai has a very wide waist.

Kai has a very wide and scary head... much like the Predator's.. his "bun" (off center) didn't help with symmetry

Kai has no traps... not by today's bodybuilding standards

He may make some illusional poses, or should I say delusional that can accent certain bodyparts, but in an "I can't hide anything pose" all of his flaws, of which there are many, are going to show.

Besides his boyfriend doesn't have testicular cancer... does he? He would have had no closing, tear-jerking speech.

His face is also not going to sell supplements.

I believe all these things are considered at some point.

His work ethic is great. His philosophy on training and life is cool, but I don't remember the judges asking about that in the mandatories ~

Kai has an amazing amount of muscle and when shredded, amazing detail. He was way off in prejudging and though improved in the finals, still not sharp. Should have finished behind Wolf last night. We'll all have preferred body types but Kai is blocky and his waist is bad. Doesn't have good flow like Phil or Shawn Rhoden. I had the same criticism with Branch when he was winning shows, blocky, flow of overall physique. Unless Kai is hitting an intercostal shot, his abs are bad even when flexed. Between transitions his gut is very distended.

I went into this Olympia as a Kai fan in hopes he could really step it up and defeat Phil, which would have set a spectacular battle on stage for next year. But honestly, Kai looked terrible, especially compared to last year. In my opinion, if a "Professional Bodybuilder" shows up at the biggest show of the year looking like he's pregnant, he shouldn't even get a top ten placement, as there is nothing aesthetically pleasing about a distended midsection like that. The judges should have sent Kai back to 11th, or at least 7th, which would have really communicated the right message to the public and to the upper ranks of the bodybuilding industry about what is acceptable and what is not.
