pretty simple, people would stick with their families, based on skin color first and foremost. The richest/ weapon owning or able to buy paramilitary mercernaries would enslave or kill others real quick. Nothing too hard to imagine. Most women would indeed drop the nerdy paper pusher in a heartbeat for the "tattoed asshole" who has no problem stabing someone in the back for a penny.
An interesting point is that most hunters/ paramilitary/police guys would probably decimate the wild animals in north america in a matter of weeks then famine would follow. There has never been so many people on earth so you better hope the industrial farms dont stop producing cattle en masse.
