I'm Starting Supplementing
« on: December 25, 2005, 03:18:08 PM »
I want to start supplementing, right now I take nothing.  I'm thinking about:

Vitamin- GNC Mega men
Protein (Blend?) - Optimum Nutrition
Creatine (Monohydrate)- GNC brand with grape juice
Glutamine- ********Don't Know*******

I am open for all suggestions, I dont know if those are good brands but I am on a budget.
Another question is how soon do you guys think I might reap some benefits from this investment?  I have never taken anything consistently. I did a cycle of Superdrol from late July to mid August gained 15-20lbs I havent gained anything since then.  I just started whole body twice a week.  I've been lifting for almost a year.  Thanks

First off, get yourself a workout routine where you split the body up into 3 training days.

Stuff looks good. Glutamine is good, but personally I notice nothing from it. I only take it while cutting along with aminos. my opinion on protein is, take whey in the morning and post-workout.  As a meal-replacement and before bed, try something like musclemilk.

well vitamins is a good thing but it's not gonna make a noticable difference in the weightroom.
protein is good if you dont feel you get enough in your regular food
glutamine from a scientific perspective as far as i know make no difference, still some people say it "works" for them, if it's cheap might be worth to try out, just in case
creatine will make you gain a few pounds of water and approx 10-15%? strength increase hopefully that means by getting slightly stronger youll be able to move more weight and gain more muscle + might helps as a boost mentally
all in all along with food, rest and lifting the above may help to put more pieces of the puzzle together resulting in greater gains.
