Anyone know anything about Creatine ethyl-esther? what exactly is it and how does it differ from regular creatine monohydrate ???

it's supposed to give the same results with zero water retention...kind of defeats the purpose of taking creatine.

Mono is cheap and effective, i didn't notice a single thing when i was taking CEE. i stick with cheap Prolab Mono mixed in grape juice.

hmmm...thats why i stopped taking creatine...I got way too bloated...like i've done multiple cycles of it and still everytime i gain 10 lbs in teh first few days...but it makes me look soft and i get cheeks like Tom Platz

I could be wrong, but I think its supposed to cut down on extracellular water retention (bloat) and promote intracellular water retention (the one you want).

A lot of people report less gastric distress with CEE versus regular monohydrate.  However, most gastric issues would likely stem from non-micronized monohydrate (the early monohydrate was like sand and gave many a person the runs).  However, you can find regular micronized monohydrate everywhere these days and it's likely less expensive.

The claims about CEE being abosorbed multiple times better than monohydrate, etc. and therefore giving better results basically mean nothing.  A major claim is that CEE is absorbed better at the gut level. Well, that's fine and dandy but the fact is that creatine absorption is limited at the cellular level, not the gut level.  So just because you get more through the gut initially will mean squat in the end.  Along those lines you only apparently need two or three grams of CEE compared to five grams monohydrate due to the fact that more of it makes it through the gut.  This would ONLY make a difference though if it (CEE) worked out to be cheaper (on a per dose basis) than monohydrate.  But it doesn't.   And really the bottom line is that at some point your creatine stores will be completely saturated.  Monohydrate does this just fine so I don't see the point in paying more for CEE when the end result will be the same.

Maybe this bloating in the first few days is because of the loading phase.

It lasts the entire time I am on...I know some people who got nothing from it...I am the exact opposite, I retain WAY too much water.  My skin feels tight everywhere, my hands and feet get swollen, face supoer swollen, I look disgusting on it lol

yes i had the same results, bloated face , that 10kg mass is all water LOL.

Some companies had trouble getting pure powder at first.  You can buy 100g containers of this stuff for about 6-7 bucks.
