Bearing in mind steroids cause tremendous increases in IGF-1, and IGF-1 massively increases the growth rate of cancer, its probably not the best approach to take and what probably lead to his cancer being terminal.

perhaps, I didnt read the rest of the story, but I agree loving bodybuilding is absurd, none the less had he chose a life of exercise without all the other crap, he might not be in the situation. S = k log W
