I always assumed the Chrysler 300 had Mercedes e class 3.5 v6 and transmission (as the diesel has merc 3.0  v6 in the UK).
Turns out it has a cheap copy of the merc engine and gearbox.

Having issues with my car.  Its a Chrysler 300.  v6 3.5    tranny is acting weird and before I drop a bunch of cash on a new transmission I am hoping to get info.   thanks

Have you tried putting it in rear?

I had a brand new Ford Crown Victoria. The transmission went at 10K miles. The Ford mechanic said they were made in Mexico and they had quality control issues. He said the actual case measurements were off and he couldn't just replace the internal parts so he replaced the entire transmission.

This brings me to a Dodge Durango. The trans started slipping around 35K miles. I believe the mechanic drained the trans and if I remember correctly the trans had a filter on it that he replaced. It worked after that but I got rid of it around 70K. Every time I see blue smoke coming out an exhaust showing a shot motor it seems it to be a Dodge/Chrysler vehicles. I would never buy a Dodge product even though I really like the looks of many of their vehicles.
^^
My reserve/weekend car is a 2007 Chrysler Sebring with 168,000 miles on it, no repairs except for routine maintenance + oil changes (for which I have a oil change for life card I got when I bought it).
