In 2005, along with Dr Paul A. Guardino, we opened up the first full service Concierge Medical Practice in Connecticut, Personal Care Physicians, LLC. As Concierge Doc's, we did it all! House calls, ER visits at 4 am, 4 hour initial History and Physical Exams ( for real!!), carrying patients through snow to their cars and even drawing blood on patients front porches in the dead of winter! Then something huge happened!
Weight Lifters' joined our practice!
That’s right, men- AKA, "lifters", who otherwise would not search out medical services came in to see us. They said they liked that we were men and that they felt easy talking to us, not to mention asking us very personal questions about their health. These men had medical issues that they were very concerned about, but until this time, felt uncomfortable discussing in the traditional medical office setting. From that time, we have cared for hundreds of men in our clinic and learned so much medicine as Concierge Doctors. As any good doctor knows, your patients teach you medicine on a day-by-day basis and if you can integrate Evidenced Based Medicine along with a personal touch, your patients will have the best outcome. Our forum will be another huge tool for disseminating healing medical data to men all over the world! We will offer a forum in which a man can initiate a thread on any medical topic. There will be nothing off limits! Any question and topic can be discussed from sex to steroids. We will openly discuss the etiology of each topic and how it affects men- the benefits in addition to the adverse issues. The Metabolic Doc will moderate the forum and will never give medical advice, but rather coordinate the discussion and present what is known on the topic from the medical community.
Our goal is to deliver accurate and up to date medical and clinical information to assist men in the prevention of disease and ensure a higher quality of life.
