I gamble in one of the local casinos about 4 to 5 times a week ... Orleans, The Palms, Silverton, Ellis Island, and Red Rock.
But I'm not a big money spending gambler. I limit my day's "investment" to roughly $40 every casino visit and I do my best to "take advantage" of every casino I play in.
That may sound 'idiotic' to some of you GetBiggers but I've been gambling in casinos since I was 18-19 (times were different then and some of these casino stories I've told on this Board a short while back).
I can 'almost honestly' say that I very seldom leave a casino with less money than when I entered and always with a smile on my face.
Here's why:
1. I only go into a casino with what I can afford to lose and that is usually one or two twenty dollar bills and no credit/debit card.
2. I play Blackjack and Craps and two or three slot machines that I know will pay off well and this requires further explanation:
a. I'm an EXPERT Blackjack player ever since I first read BEAT THE DEALER and have taught the game (BASIC STRATEGY and a bit of card counting) to many successful players.
b. I am also an expert Craps player or to be more honest .... I know how to compute the odds and take full advantage of the Odds Bet which many claim to be the BEST bet in the house. But Craps is a very difficult game to win unless you hit a winning streak and then get off the table.
c. I'n happy with small wins in the games of Craps and Blackjack.
d. I know which slot machines to play and which slot machines to avoid. I could write a book on this subject but there are only two machines I'd recommend to any GetBigger Las Vegas visitor and those two machines are BUFFELO and KITTY GLITTER, both of which pay off extremely well. For example I have had numerous wins of $120 on a 40 cent 'investment'.
A win of that size means ... find another BUFFELO machine and try again.
I have won so many times on this machine, that my good friends simply don't believe me anymore.
I don't play Poker any more simply due to the fact that there are way too many expert players in this town waiting for suckers to join the table.
So my BIG ADVICE is to only play with what you can afford to lose and enjoy yourself and take advantage with whatever comps that casino offers. .
The main thing is ENJOY YOURSELF. When you fail to do so, that's the sign that it's time to quit.
