Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif insisted Wednesday that the Obama administration mischaracterizes concessions by his side in the six-month nuclear deal with Iran, telling CNN in an exclusive interview that "we did not agree to dismantle anything."

Zarif told CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto that terminology used by the White House to describe the agreement differed from the text agreed to by Iran and the other countries in the talks -- the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

"The White House version both underplays the concessions and overplays Iranian commitments" under the agreement that took effect Monday, Zarif said in Davos, Switzerland, where he was attending the World Economic Forum.

He repeated that "we are not dismantling any centrifuges, we're not dismantling any equipment, we're simply not producing, not enriching over 5%."

That too is also inaccurate. Under the agreement, they still have the ability to enrich beyond 5% for research purposes.

Their biggest concession to the USA was agreeing to stop taking payments for their oil exports in gold.

This is the only issue that matters.   The nuke shit is all nonsense, no one cares about it really, especially the US.  There are some nut job zealots that might actually care, but the real issue is keeping the petrodollar alive and going.  Accepting gold for payment of oil is a big no no.  Sadaam did the same thing and look what happened to him.

I'm glad you said it Emmortal. If I had pointed it out, all the pinheads would have had their Pavlovian conniptions.

Every signatory to that negotiation benefited, ...and for the USA, the main benefit was the end to oil sales in gold. I think Sadam was selling his oil in Euro. Ghaddaffi was organizing Arab & African states to sell their oil for gold as well, so the USA supplied Al Q with weapons, and fighter power to take him out in Libya, only to have these same people attack the American post in Benghazi. Blowback is a biyatch!

It's only a big no no until the nation with "most favoured nation" status decides it's no longer a no no,
...and THAT nation is not only amassing major quantities of gold, but is also in the midst of negotiating debt consolidation of the FED. In other words, they will control both the paper, AND the gold, ...and will have the power to unravel the paper, at the time of their choosing.

These days even the Arabs are re-refining the gold bars. They're going from 400oz LBMA standards of 999.5 purity to 1 kilo bars with 999.9 purity, common Asian standards. Hmmmm...I wonder what knowledge they have that's being suppressed in the USA?

Exactly.
