Eating carbs in the form of starches before training works well.
« on: February 17, 2014, 04:55:02 AM »
I just rediscovered this "trick" if you will, after 10 years of experimenting, I remember now from my days of working out hours on end. However, I don't think one should make a habit of (ab)using carbs in this manner, that good pristine carb rush effect might subside.

And that is exceedingly dangerous for workout motivation. You don't want to become dependent on any routines and habits to complete a workout.

So it took you 10 years to find out that you can eat carbs before your workout, I can only hope that it does not take you another 10 years to find out that you can also eat carbs after your workout.

Its psychological, eating starchy carbs wont have any effect on your ability to workout if you eat them immediately before apart from a placebo effect.
