Crossfit. No one was giving a fuck about those shoes till Crossfit and the whole minimalist running thing. It went from stuff like the Nike Frees and Asics Tigers to those.

Originally the Vibram 5 fingers were suppose to be a high end performance deck shoe for boaters.

It's important that each toe has room to move individually. Because we all know that you run on your toes, like coyote is sneaking up on that roadrunner  ::)

Now I'm just looking forward to when I can buy a workout hat with a thin socket for each and one of my head hairs so I can run faster through the wind.
