the tub waste pipe thats metal? would this meet code and would it work to prevent fire if lighting struck before the ground wire was attached to the galvanized pipe but since i got rid of that damn galvanized i need to know what devices i need to route the ground wire that isnt quite long enough to reach the tub to attach to

its a steel looking grounding wire thats solid i think its got turns on it kinda like a screw

I think it's safe to say that a coat hanger will never meet code.

As long as the coat hanger is plastic you're good to go.

That's how houses burn down and people die. Don't fuck with the grounding. Let a licensed Contractor to handle it.

calm down bro, i just repiped the whole damn house, before the grounding wire was connected to the galvanized water line

so now i plan on connecting that grounding wire to the tub (i was advised to do this by a plumber didnt have time to get into details)

you can handle this stuff logically no need to panic and pay someone for a 10 minite job. this is the type of stuff a man should learn in his life

I remodeled 4 houses so far in Cali. I did everything my self. Roofing, Tile .Plumbing...etc. Just not Power. Its not worth the 50 bucks saved. But don't listen to me. I got fried one because of a wiring problem. I hate it ever since.lol

ive done way more than 4 ive remodeld over a few hundred houses bro havent done any roofs though, ive laid in countless floors ect im suprised you havent done more electrical since plumbing ties right into the electrical atleast the grounding can , i recently done my first re-pipeing job, i spent more time looking at it and thinking about it because i wasnt used to it, it really wasnt hard at all just took alot of time.
it would be good to know this shit man

Not quite to the level where one would nearly wreck his car by honking and staring at it. But close.

you guys need to stay with this and think it through. your 'trying' to build big muscles alll day long to be tough TUFF yet 999% of you lack the same muscular energy to know where and how to ground the wiring? i dont get it do you guys just tell people "no i cant do that, nope cannot do that either but yes i  CAN go to the gym "  ::) ;D thats why men today are not men. these gyms are no better than salons. being a man takes brains and standing and crawlding 12 hours a day type  energy

I touched and electric stove and it wasn't wired right. I also got shocked by and microphone while playing guitar. lol One time a big 12" Floor sander running on 220 was hooked up the wrong way and it really knocked me on my ass.  I have a real angst about electricity done half ass. With any other trade you can re do it. But with electricity it always fucking hurts..lol

It sounds like the grounding and polarity wasn't done correctly.  Especially the microphone incident.  A hot ground is the only way a microphone can become electrified.

With the floor sander, was it an older one? Made with a metal housing?  Newer power tools are built with plastic housing to avoid ground problems.

So, you are working in the remodeling business and ask advices for the electrical problems from the bodybuilding forum? Is this your way to tell everyone that you are an imbecile and suck in your job?

What comes to grounding the house electronics, you should know what to do, or pay somebody to do it. Why? Because grounding is the most important part in whole electrical system, because it prevents idiots like you from dying. Think about this: You have done all the electrical work in that apartment with your ingenious intelligence, and the people who will be living there, has a child. He is thirsty, so he go to kitchen and reach out for the tap holding same time from the edge of the sink. This is how they test groundings in real life, and stupid's like you kill numerous people each year. Problem is simple. You have to have correct wiring up till the point where you will ground it, and that guys like you will you never have.

Most common mistake is leakage from the neutral to the ground. which means that when you plug the toaster etc. in that leaking socket and turn it on, you have live ground wire attached in your plumbing. Child who is taking some tap-water will be dead, and you will be in jail. There is  plenty of Estonian workers in this country, working as builders etc. This combination of three wires seem to be too difficult to them, and I have seen every fucking kind of mistakes. They even use ground wire as live wire, no matter if it is color coded for single purpose only. That's why I know that some self educated red neck can't get it right without help of the professional electrician. You don't pay him to do your work, but to keep your sorry ass out from jail  ;D
