Good to see that bitch in hot water, its a shame what he did to a once beautiful game .

Hopefully this ends the national fag league and it goes back to hard hitting on the field and not off it

I just dont understand why any of these people feel that they have the right to demand anything....

Why is it their business what a private employer does with his employees?

Why is it their busines to try and go after someones private/work life?

Self-righteous indignation.  It's a classic shake down strategy.

she slapped and spat on him repeatedly.  before he hit her.  and after she woke up.

they should both be charged, both be in jail for it.

NEITHER of them has the ability to control their violent urges.  Both are threats to society.

The writer's an idiot.  It is impossible to fire a judge or prosecutor.

Nobody fucked up except Rice and the baboon that attacked him.

LOL Tommy.

You better watch out, Lobsta is going to cry to Ron saying you are a racist and you'll be put in timeout, even if you were stating the truth.

I'm sure Mr. Rice's wife is thrilled with the situation now.

I mean, Mr. Rice has lots of job skills that he can use to earn a similar salary in other fields of the private sector.

How is this harsh punishment for Mr. Rice going to effect their home life?  If he was mad before, imagine how mad he is now.

I love watching ESPN in the AM or as I drive... but can't stomach this Ray Rice drama.

"I don't care if a woman slaps you 1000 times, you do not lay a finger on her" - Mike & Mike.

Look, yes, you don't hit a woman.  But there are only so many times a person can be slapped or SPAT UPON before he puts his hands up to stop it.  Yes, he punched her, which is a huge over-reaction.

He backed into a corner to get away from her.  She slapped and lunged at him.  He should have NOT punched her, but restraining her would have been a perfectly reasonable reaction to prevent him from seeing a broken nose.  She had some muscle on her, and yes, a broken nose or blinded eye could easily have happened with her slapping him repeatedly.

I think it'd be nice to really create EQUALITY here.  Charge them both.  Charge her with assault for the multiple slaps/spits, then charge him with assault for using his NFL strength to punch a human being that hard.  Let them both sit in jail for 30 days.  And THEN let them out and see if EITHER of them gets violent like that again.

The way I see it, that'd stop LOTS of domestic violence.  Many dudes would NEVER hit a woman - until the woman hits/spits on them over and over - and then they're human, they often lose it and react.  BOTH parties should know that if they swing first, or they over-react, they do jail time.

Rice had six successful seasons in the NFL before this.  That's DOUBLE what most NFL players average.  He's earned almost 40 mil in the NFL and is worth over 20 mil.  He will be just fine.  Give most people a million, and they can live humbly off the interest forever.  Give a family 20 million, they can enjoy it for 100 years, if responsible.

It isn't so much that he knocked her out, it's that he didn't give a shit that he did.  That speaks to the darkness of his soul.

America cares more about the NFL than it does about the for-profit 'justice' system.  Goodell being excoriated publicly does a lot more to shine a light on the core issue than would have occurred if only the prosecutors were being called out.

He's incredibly stupid to keep talking to the media and to be holding these "press conferences" where he shows himself to basically be a retarded ghetto narcissist. I don't blame him, as he obviously doesn't know better - but his lawyer / agent / managers should be fired for allowing him to keep opening his mouth. Maybe they all bailed early?

I'd be shocked if he's saved any money, isn't heavily in debt, and actually has much net worth at all. He's probably done more than just drink at the casinos.
