Sure, at 6'1 195 that's his first priority.

You must be happy that your son didn't get your height genetics. :D

Ask my son. He's a safety and averages 9 tackles a game. He DLine sucks. Last game he had 10 tackles and 7 solos. He's pissed every game.

Sorry dude but your son doesn't belong in a JJ Watt thread.  He'd be lucky to make a forth string USC safety........... on the practice squad.

You know this how? The only camps he goes to are SC camps. Admittedly it's tough going against some of these kids that come from the back woods from Alabama and Georgia. But he's a safety and OLB. Three games Max Preps defensive player of the game. League starts tonight. The team sucks though >:(

He's a freak, if he can stay injury free and have longevity in the league, he could go down as the best defensive lineman of all time.

So if that results in 5 years of free schooling from USC, who fucking cares?

Sure, that would be great..... but instead they'll probably give one of their 85 scholarships to a player who is actually good.

Hard to get pissed off when you make millions just goofing off with other men.

That's the friggin truth.. The guy gets to PLAY a game that many of us love to spend full days playing as kids - and get paid TENS of millions...
I guess if would be like a weird kid growing up and getting played to dress up like a sci-FI character...

you sound like a pretty proud pop coach, my boys are 9, 7, and 4 so all there doing is flag for now but next year my oldest will be able to play full contact.  We opted out of full contact peewee , well when I say we I mean my wife , so the compromise was waiting til they were at least 10

No bullshit, there are professional video game leagues and the kids get paid $100,000s......not the exact same thing, but close enough

I am VERY proud my boy. Before this season he only played Freshman football and before that he played baseball since he was six. Last year he opted out of baseball and just trained then decided when his school got a new coach to play football. This year (his only varsity year and only his second year playing organized football) he's his teams safety. I guess my point is I wish he (as does he) would have started earlier like your boys. The hard thing is watching him get injured. Last week was his first week back after being out with a high ankle sprain and tonight was his first league game against a team who's line averages 300lbs of Samoans. Needless to say we lost (that's an understatement) and even with his 7 tackles he's beat to shit with a groin strain and a deep bruised thigh.
