Okay good, then you will agree that someone could easily eat solely fast food their entire life and have a better health profile than some organic moron seeking out GMO free foods.  :D

I don't know if they would have better health or if you are being sarcastic, but I can tell you this much: From my own experience I have maintained 5.5% bodyfat on 90% processed foods at times.

I also like to go through juicing phases (yeah, pun intended) Kale, Carrots, Apple, Ginger root and a Citrus fruit twice a day.

Shitload of water

Greek yogurt with Barley

That diet for me works wonders on mental health, energy and over-all well-being.

I never believed that food could make you feel a certain way. I read many of Jack Lalannes books... actually, I've read and studied everything you can imagine and even tried them out myself.

Jack was big into fresh fruits, veggies and wholesome foods. I scoffed at that for years as I taught my clients about proper nutrition.

I couldn't let their obese asses know that I was eating Ice Cream, candy, doughnuts.. etc, etc...

But here's the thing: I NEVER over-eat. So, there is some credence to just counting calories and remaining in a deficit.

As you age, things change. Lots of things.

Go for the better foods even if you can stay in shape on shit food. Trust me.

One day you will wake up with anxiety attacks and high blood pressure and find that after youve taken every calming drug under the sun, that food has so much more to do with your mental and physical health.

Our DNA replicated daily.... it replicates from the food you put in your pie-hole.

Think about it.

You wanna replicate shit or ....

I'm sure you get my over-exaggerated point.

Now, let's see if any of my other questions were answered.....

"all about them macros" is such a common saying these days... do they really know WTF they are talking about? Hmmmmmmm

no one

^ 100%

i have noticed in myself 'food', i havent narrowed it down to 'types' or 'quantity' or both, but there is a definite correlation between food intake, and mental state, ie depressive side effects.

crazy. i was just emailing someone about this very thing yesterday.

probably because the keto diet is simpler and easier to control.

many who diets on higher carbs don't weigh out their foods properly and ends up overeating. easier to get the munches eating carbs.

Dyslexic, how is Ed doing by the way?

He is hanging in there.

His sense of balance is completely gone. He has to walk with a walker now.

He is NOT supposed to lift weights due to his numerous strokes and heart attacks, but.... you can't kill old habits.

He still embraces the day with a huge smile, his handshake is still hand-crushing.

He still looks great.

I noticed he was pretty devastated when Larry Scott passed. I think that kind of hit close to home for him.

I will say this: If I live as long as Ed has, I will be amazed. He is now 82. It's his outlook on life that keeps him going. He is never glum or down (at least to the outside world)

It saddens me that he lives alone. He needs live-in health care.. but, he's a tough old S.O.B

He is trying to get his website back up. www.Edcorney.net

He is trying to get his pics and the domain back, but we can't seem to find much on who owns the site.

I know that people will buy anticipated celebrity sites and then sell them to the celebrity when they want a simple ".com" domain, but that is not the case here. He used to have a webmaster, but he can't remember who it was and I can't find shit through researching it.

If anyone here can help, he would greatly appreciate it.

He has some previously un-released videos he wants to sell. Pretty good stuff.

Still a fun guy to talk to. Like I said before, if you Google his name and hit "images" with him, he can recall where every photo was taken, who he was with, and a fun story to go with it.

The guy has definitely lived life to the fullest.

Thanks for asking brother!

The National Socialists did push good nutrition and organic items and several public health policies while the Soviets pushed starvation and malnutrition on their own people.

Does the average Get Bigger know a lick about foodservice management, community nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition metabolism, biochemistry, and parenteral and enteral nutrition, more so than the average RD? I don't say this to be sarcastic, but to say that some forum poster knows more than an RD about OUR field is asinine. If they did know enough, I guess they'd be competent to work in a medical institution considering their knowledge would supposedly make them competent in the application of medical nutrition, or even sports nutrition.

I don't appreciate the obnoxious comment about being an RD in a skilled nursing facility being as easy as serving mashed potatoes and vegetables (which I don't considering I am not a foodservice worker), but to answer someone's question about pay, I make 80k per year salary, plus the little side things I do in writing diets for individuals. Certainly not rich, but I live a satisfying middle class nonetheless and am aiming to move up the ladder by becoming a foodservice director RD (can make low six figures in that position) perhaps but definitely am aiming to transition to become a licensed nursing home administrator (LNHA) in the future and plan on taking three or four of the courses I need to take, going through the administrator-in-training (AIT) period  (which can be shortened greatly for me because of my previous department head experience). Average pay for nursing home admins in NYC or LI is 130 to 160K, with some corporations or sole owners paying higher, plus perks. Of course a nursing home admin does not work as RD, but many allied health professionals such as RD's, RN's, PT's, have made the transition.

This veered off topic but I am answering with my experience and personal goals.

You are correct.

Sadly, he committed suicide...

You guys have great resources, thank you all!

The information has been passed to Ed.

He is excited!

I will be working with him and an I.T. to get everything back. Hopefully we can locate the harddrive with all of his pics. He say's there are some on there that were never published (except for the site of course)

And then the untimely death...

is when everything stopped.

Now that Ed is getting up there in age, he would like to present something special.

He also has an event planned. Just so you know, Ed has NOT asked me to promote this in any way, I'm taking it upon myself to put it out there.
