I got my first workout of the year today. Hitting close to 40 so i wanna get serious this year about being at my best. I'm in good shape now but nothing crazy. Especially since not too many getbiggers in my gym. If you workout in a place with huge people or people that are in shape, you just feel more motivated to train harder because you think you look small - and you do.
But today i saw this woman i hadn't seen in a few weeks. She had a skin tight outfit on and she had put on a good 15-20lbs. And she seems like a gym junkie - i only go in three days and not always the same days but she's always there. I see this Asian hottie that i hadn't seen since last year and i didn't recognize her. She wasn't obese or anything but very out of shape compared to what she used to look like. And asians put weight in their faces which is horrible.
Then there's this other dude i see on the regular. Been at this gym for a while and always looks the same. Except now he too put on a little bit of weight.
Of course its no mystery why they're out of shape. They're coming in, running on the treadmill, then doing NOTHING that makes them uncomfortable. I'm fucking blowing a blood vessel doing curls, feeling dizzy as fuck after pulldowns. I mean don't get me wrong i'm not moving half the gym but i'm fucking busting my ass and more important, i know how the fuck to get in shape. I learned to make a connection between my diet and training to being in shape. I know if i wanna look above average i gotta put in above average effort.
But fuck them all.
