I rented a basement apartment with a cousin once if that counts.

Honestly basement apartments are the best, I hate wooden-carpeted floors, much prefer concrete.

West coast doesn't have many basements. Earthquake issues. But I fucked my HS girlfriend (I was in HS too) in a bomb shelter once. So there was that.

Emmm no. I got a job earning pretty good money so no excuse  :) (have since returned to college age 25 for a career change while working part time in a different job, if you happen to give a shit)
