Adults that go apeshit over "Santa"

What's the deal with adults that get all batshit crazy about a stranger dressed in a Santa costume? I was at the mall and "Santa" was walking to the picture area and adults were clapping and cheering like he was Michael Jackson.  A lot of these adults weren't with kids either.
The same with parades where they cheer like lunatics.  They do realize there's no such thing as Santa don't they?
If the same guy dressed as Santa was walking through the mall in June , the same people would look at him like he was mentally ill.

What a bunch of schmucks.  We live in a world full of fucking losers who can't even think for themselves.  Ever been to a NFL football game?  Talk about idiots.  Going crazy for a roided out man in spandex tights who will never even know or care if you exist.  Betas....all of them!

The "we won" thing is something I've worked on changing personally.  

One day it became apparent how obnoxious it sounded.  So I now I say "they won" or "they lost".  

I still slip from time to time.    ;D

I could understand the usage of the term "we" every 4 years during the Olympics. Even though a lot of the events are individual sports; it is also nation vs nation.

Never seen this personally, either less dipshits here or,  more likely, i avoid shopping centres/malls this time of year.
