Did Arnold's greatness overshadow.....

Joe Weiders contribution to bodybuilding or did Arnold help spur his success?  Opinions?

Joe Weider made a contribution to bodybuilding as a trainer, gave jobs, sponsorship,$$$ exposure to bodybuilders, promoter, publisher, contest/federation creator, equipments, supps,   etc


Arnold used bodybuilding as a stepping stone to move on to bigger and better things.

Both really but Arnold helped to get all of Joe's work recognized by the masses.  They are two of the pillars that created the modern acceptance of musclularity and working out.  I also think that George Butler and Charles Gaines should be recognized in that regard.

For the record I'd like to see some evidence that Joe Weider ever actually "trained" anyone.  If I'm wrong please correct me but I have my doubts.  The photos of him training pro bodybuilders are eerily similar to that Du Pont dude from the movie Foxcatcher.  Like I said, I could be wrong on that.
