Lots of saturated fats, preferably from animal sources.

That would work.

No! Total BS. It's carb calories that make you fat.

It's calories. If you eat a low carb diet you are eating less calories. A pound of fat is still 3500 calories. If you eat 4000 calories a day in a low carb diet you will not gain weight if you eat 4000 calories with a high carb diet. This carb stuff is just bro science and junk science.

You're wrong. 4000 calories of fat and protein, won't make you fat. 4000 calories of carbs will make you fat. That's how the real world really works.

People indulge too much nowadays. It isn't specific macros other than the overconsumption of said macros (fats and carbs) by the general population while under-consuming fiber and protein which satisfies hunger and is the most thermogenic macro. Back then, anything that resembled junk food like soda and ice cream were considered treats, not staples and there wasn't a Mickey Ds on every corner and tons of shit food on the shelf at the supermarket. People nowadays rarely make home cooked meals for their kids. It's easier to consume 1200 calories from a Big Mac, fries, and coke than a fixed amount of mom's meatloaf and mashed potatoes and a glass of milk. The bad habits start early and are hard to break. They rather be dicking around with the latest gadgets instead of playing sports or riding bikes. Breeding a world of anti-social fatties and twinks.
