I remember seeing Rocky as a little kid.  First movie I remember.

I watched Rocky 3 on laser disc rental at a friends bday party. I had to go to the bathroom when Mickey died to hide my tears.

I saw Rocky in Philly the day after the premiere. Will never forget it.  Absolutely the craziest movie crowd ever. I also took boxing lessons at a PAL boxing gym right in the neighborhood were parts of Rocky were filmed. It looked like it was right out of the movie.

It really is a great movie and has held up just fine.  Rocky changes his goal from beating Apollo to going the distance, which no one had done.  He set his own goal and achieved it.  His own immortality, and No one could call him a bum.

I watched the doc today on Amazon Prime (no homo), it's pretty interesting but very short, half-hour (half as long as it takes me to pound out "Rhode Island Viper"'s mother).  Whole thing is narrated by Sly, don't hear from anyone else.
