Democrats Introduce Bill Giving Coronavirus Relief To Illegal Aliens

Several House Democrats introduced legislation that, if signed into law, would allow illegal aliens to obtain funds from the recently passed coronavirus relief package.

California Rep. Lou Correa, along with two other Democratic lawmakers, introduced the Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act on Friday. The legislation would amend the CARES Act — the $2 trillion stimulus package intended to help Americans suffering under the coronavirus pandemic, and allow individuals living in the U.S. unlawfully to apply for funds.

“I was appalled to learn hardworking, taxpaying immigrants were left out of the $2 trillion CARES Act,” Correa said in a statement released Friday.

He continued: “By casting out immigrants, we are placing some of our most vulnerable residents in grave danger. Every individual taxpayer, irrespective of citizenship status, needs government assistance now.”

There is already no difference between US citizens and legal permanent residents except for the right to vote and the ability to work for the government.

Legal or not, I have a hard time as a human being stomaching people suffering, starving, etc.  Non legal persons are almost entirely here because they want to be here because they love what we stand for and offer.  Mexicans are quite possibly the most labor intensive, hardest working among our population.  I'm a bleeding heart liberal and I will be fine going to the grave believing what I believe.

I'm fucked.  My work finally shut down our gym yesterday.  I've got nothing at home other than a treadmill.  Figure I'll continue to eat clean, hit cardio every day and walk the dog even more.

Thanks for the non inspiration.    I'm in Michigan.  Our emergency got extended today until the end of this month.  If I can get back in the gym in May, I'll probably be better for it having a month off.  Which I haven't done since 1998 when I had pneumonia.  Non-aids related pneumonia for what it's worth.  The prices as well as the wait times for home gym equipment is insane.  Down the road, I'm going to put together a serviceable home gym for the next time we experience something like this.  I hope that this never happens again, but I'm a realist and know that it probably will.
