In a move that is certain to stir things up as the political new year unfolds, President Obama will lead a televised town hall Thursday to address tightening restrictions on access to guns. Obama will sit down with Anderson Cooper on CNN at 8 p.m. ET for the one-hour event titled “Guns in America,” which coincides with the fifth anniversary, next Friday, of the shooting of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Arizona, in a mass shooting that left six dead and 13 others wounded.

Not sure who amongst the general populace is advocating for more gun control. Only lib gun grabbers want this. When I say I hate this guy...read into it that I want nothing good to ever happen to this piece of shit.

I'm not worried about this round but the idiots on the left did put up a new "assault weapons ban" bill.  Plus Seattle was able to push through their ridiculous tax on guns and ammo. It stood up to the first round of legal fights with more coming. So far so good for the gun grabbers. Idiots like woo and andrethedouche are going to volunteer for Obama's gun confiscation corps....I don't suspect something like that will have a lot of law enforcement backing.

Yeah...I agree. Its found in the big departments where politics come into it. I'm retiring next fall and am gonna be a cop in Texas...still weighting where.

Some departments promote faster then others and the standards of some are ridiculous...Dallas said I only had to do 4 push ups. 4...that's the guy u want coming to save you. I think I'm going with Austin. I promote faster and can go do k9 quicker then the other places Ive looked at.

No shit...my packet is in with them and I'm looking at San Antonio as a bunch of my buddies are on with them. Plus now half my office thats retiring are putting in packets. Austin did a youtube reality series in 2012 that gives a good idea of the Academy and what to expect. I'm more impressed with them but I'll have to ask Agn

My biggest concern is an ammo tax. I'm pretty set on what i own gunwise....besides maybe a sniper build...but both Seattle and I think Chicago are trying for this ammo tax. Its not good....
