Your reply doesn't change what I wrote in my post. It is still a shame that folks are willing to compromise their health for the sake of a plastic trophy. Very few bodybuilders make it to the big time, try as they may and by pumping their bodies full of poison, risking their health and very possibly their lives.

Not just bb'ers, but any athlete is almost willing to die in exchange of being king shit in their division. Been like this for a hell of a long time. Just sucks bb'iing needs so much poison to be so good. Takes so much cash to do shows. Travel, not working, the color, stupid entry fee's to cover... Just never ends.

The drive, sacrifice and dedication it takes to become a pro-bodybuilder, eludes me. All I ever wanted was to look fit and healthy with some muscle. It has never occurred to me to train for bodybuilding contests. It's ironic then that some folks who are my age, enter competitions competing and sometimes winning for their age group. Being fit and 70 years old is just that rare. Despite this opportunity, I have no desire to don a thong and step on the competition stage.

Bodybuilding is sad state of affairs. Insecure guys by syringes, vials and pills so they can get recognized as a man with their temporary cosmetic muscles while risking health.  They justify this by saying all involved in sport use drugs and that isn't true by a long shot. Let's face the fact that most juicing bodybuilding gym  rats rarely compete. They just want to look good walking around. They feed on the compliments but will never acknowledge they use steroids because they want the credit for their temporary physique.

What's somewhat offensive to me is that people outside the industry put these mental jobs in the same level as real bodybuilders.
