Nope. Didn't even give them the satisfaction of 'quitting' I just walked out after 3 hours. Was 28/11/1996. The day I set foot in a gym. Was 16 and got a job as a waiter. Was supposed to shadow this 40yo guy who was to be my 'mentor'. The whole thing was sad beyond belief and I went to the kitchen, drunk a milkshake that was just made for a table as my 'payment' and walked out. Walked to my mate's house that was close by and we played Crash Bandicoot until 3am  8)

Yep. Even clocked it. Chucked Resident Evil on straight after and his 14yo sister kept getting a fright and grabbed on to my arm. Good times!

I got stuck doing manual labor for minimum wage ($5.25 at the time) building glass displays for a new mall opening.  I was 16 and my mom's friend owned a temp agency and setup the work "to help my lazy ass out".
My friend and I pulled one and a half days before leaving.  Still got a check at the end of the week though. I think it was $27 after taxes.  This job was over an hour drive away and wanted us onsite at 5am.  We were given no tools and told jam these plastic pegs into pre-cut holes on the glass.  It tore my hands up!  It took till lunch on the second day to convince my friend (who had the car) to say f*ck this and leave.

I believe we went to his house, smoked weed, and played 686 Attack Sub over null modem cable :)

I did that temp shit for a loong (2long) time.  Until I got wise & started falsifying my time tickets adding at least 15 hrs each week.  It worked great for a few weeks until the vendor caught on.  I could tell some shit was about to go down (namely ME) when I went in one day to turn in my ticket & noticed (2) marked cop cars out front.  I walked in anyway, turned my ticket in & the secretary the manager needed to talk to me upstairs about a great opportunity.  I could tell something was funky I told her "I left my lights on" & went out to my car, got in, & never went back.  I signed up w/ a false address being warned that temp shit sucked & it did.  Easy $$.

Got a job when I was 16, washing dishes in a local breakfast place in Salem, NH.
Made it thru day 1 (a SAT) but hated it.
On day 2, the bitchy woman owner didn't like the way I was washing the dishes, so as they came into the back room, I dumped them all in a trash barrel (with a large trash bag lining it), threw them outside in the dumpster, and walked home).
At least she gave me the pay for the time I was there. (WTF was minimum wage back in 1981??)  ??? I think like $2.50 an hour, so I made $15.00 before taxes for 6 hours  :D

Just a slight tweek of the dates, exact job and location and you have the BIO of most getbiggers.
The drinking of the shake was a nice finish!

I lasted 10 days, 3 hrs ; working at a shoe tree factory many moons ago as a college student.
My task was to use this big circular sander to smooth out the wooden end of the shoe trees.
You put the shoe tree in a vice and smoothed it with the sander.

It was dusty , tedious work, but I was broke so wtf.
They paid student summer workers in cash, every 2 weeks, via pay envelops the following Mon.
I was given mine , 3 hrs into my morning shift that Mon. I got the $$ , immediatly walked out without saying a word, still holding a shoe tree.

For whatever reason, I placed the freshly buffed shoe tree on the hood of the car parked in the head honcho's spot. Then, I walked home and never looked back.

Salem NH, 1981??!! Cool.
I grew up in Portsmouth NH and went to Plymouth state for a couple yrs ( 77-79) after that and then the USMC.
Salem was a big sports rival with ol Ports HS back then.  Small world.

I jerked off in the bathroom of the Dunkin Donuts I worked at in high school.
Hope that helps. ;)

When I was 16 I worked at Foodtown as a porter...the jackass boss
sent me out in a lightning storm to go get carriages in the pouring rain.....I loaded about 30 carts with a full head of steam (uphill I might add) and slammed them into the front where he was standing in front of the picture window...the glass shook n I cracked one of the windows.....needless to say my last day....totally worth it  ;D

Suits me.  If I wanted to interact with someone I'd go to a whore house.

I worked on a farm all summer to buy a leather jacket my first year of high school. Was 13 years old, no places were hiring anyone that age so it was the only thing really.

Piked all sorts of berries, did weed removal and other shit work. I did that for 2 or 3 summers. But better off working making money or my dad would have put me to work around the house for free.

Had 3 jobs going one summer to buy a motorcycle. No idea how the hell I did all that back then and go train hard. Worked 12 hour shifts at a concert area, had to stay awake from 9-9 or some shit like that.

My favorite job as a kid would have been working in a store where we sold team jersey's and shit like that. I watched the NBA back then and all the money I made there was pretty much spent on clothes in that store. They really trusted me as I got the key to open the place in the first week and neither of the guys who ran the place knew me or anyone I know. I broke the vacuum cleaner on my first day, lol. I pulled the cord too hard and ripped it out from the vacuum!

I had plenty of tedious, low wage jobs in my youth as well.
BUT the best job I ever had was during the summer after my 1st yr of college.
I got a job as a 3rd shift security guard at a manufactured home plant.
I carried this time clock and you had to go around each hr and punch keys at a doz different locations.
That only took 15 min then I watched TV for 45 min or read .

I never had an incident and rarely talked to anyone the entire 3 mos.
