Its not the SAS at all, Darren. it's some stupidly named video, designed to get idiots to click. British guy is a fucking liar who claimed he's "an instructor to the SAS" and also a "british paratrooper AND commando".

Any member of british SF identifying themselves and taking part in some stupid show like this would be in a WORLD of shit. Not to mention, that the guy claims to be both a para and a commando...which is two different units with an intense rivalry. He's probably not even been in a standard infantry unit to even attempt to lie like this.
I admire your tenacity in debunking the video

Kudos sir.

yeah, i cant see an SAS dude getting anywhere near beat my a regular marine.

isnt that like suggesting that a regular marine guy is equivalent physically to an SAS soldier?

SAS is another level. only a tiny percentage of regulars make it to SAS. physically they are worlds apart, mentally even more so.

and the poster previous is right, no SAS soldier would be telling anyone. it'd end his career.

While all of that is true, very little SAS training will directly help in a boxing match, with the exception of stamina. The only thing that makes you a good boxer is boxing.

And FWIW, the guy was supposedly Recon, which isn't up to SF training standards, but gets its share. For a long time, IMHO the biggest advantage that the SAS guys had over USSOCOM guys was actual battle. Since we've been at continuous war for more than a decade, the time under fire has pretty much evened out.

SAS is good, but I'll take Delta for $200 please, Alex.

A Dutch marine would have won easily....cause he'd been  given a personal social worker or 2 after a few minutes.

Beckwith would probably disagree! They go hand in hand anyway. same training exercises and working together on ops.

Charlie was a bit of a lunatic. But 'tis true that NATO operators have been sharing training play books for years.

the biggest difference i noticed was always being comfortable with a weapon...yeah, the British guys receive a lot of training and all modern SOF is based on them..but they just don't have enough firearms experience..the hit ratios for SAS compared to the SEALs for example is very lopsided...they are more than capable..but their upbringing hindered their combat effectiveness in my opinion.

you can put them through a million round training course every week...but it just doesnt compare with being raised with firearms

this is bull. show me the evidence of their hit ratios you've seen? British have the best snipers in the world, and the success's of UKSF on actual missions, is higher than the Americans.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-105335/US-salutes-SAS-heroes.html

"He explained that U.S. military chiefs turned to the SAS for help because their own commandos were not capable of pulling off the raid. Before arriving in Afghanistan, U.S. Delta Force fighters had very little action under fire"

being raised with firearms and taking part in million round training courses amounts to the same thing if you're citing actual trigger time on ops as the most important factor in skill...which the UK have as much if not more experience than anyone.
believe what you want junior;)

It's a fake vid, rich. Just two idiots brawling.

Yup, read that in the thread and that's the only logical explanation. No good fighter puts up such poor defence.
