In posting in another thread about Kai, it occured to me how ironic the situation is in bodybuilding today. Bodybuilding back in the Arnold era was kind of "progressive" in its outlook on the world, probably due to its status as a way outside the mainstream fringe subculture. Now, in the era of political correctness, we have Kai making an ESPN commercial and his sexuality (to the extent it is an issue at all) probably helps, or at least doesn't hurt. ESPN, a mainstream network is controlled by PC standards and PC management. Now that bodybuilding is more mainstream than it used to be in the 70s, it is actually less PC though.
