Cleanliness at the gym
« on: September 07, 2015, 11:22:50 AM »
The gym was especially crowded today because of the holiday, so all the different types had to co-mingle and jockey for position. The casual cardio club was in full effect, performing their favorite exercise: thoroughly cleaning off every machine before use.

Now, I get not wanting to drown in someone else's sweat to do some machine flys and I'm all for being courteous to your fellow clubmembers, but people are so over the top with the way they wipe down machines, you would think they must go about the rest of their day in a hazmat suit. People spray the machines down  like they are giving it a deep cleaning.  One older lady just kept one of the spray bottles with her as she did her circuit. One asshole practically emptied out the dispenser  in one go so he'd have enough paper to powerclean the three ab machines he used sat on for 10 minutes while texting. He was wearing a long tshirt and and sweatpants, so there was no possibility of the benches even touching his skin. Even after someone cleans a machine off, the person who is standing there waiting to use it usually gives it another wiping down.

That is pretty normal when you're hot and training hard.

Yeah, gym sucked ass today couldn't find a free bench until after I worked my tris too hard. Some people are OCD, but most of the time they are just doing it so they don't get a stigma from other members watching them.

I am constantly disgusted by the number of gym goers who do a shit, don't wash their hands then proceed to use gym equipment.

after each workout I wash my hands with antiseptic for a good 3 minutes

filthy scum @ the gym I train @

We actually have a guy who is OCD (at least, that's what I assume it is) and it is too unsettling working out while he's there. He trains at night and I won't go after a certain time cause he's so disruptive. He doesn't organize the gym, he disorganizes it. He takes any of the movable benches that aren't being used and moves them to one side of the gym. Then he takes all of the handles off  of any cable stations that aren't being used. Then he takes off all of the weights on any bars not being used and puts them on the floor. Then he goes around the gym and kicks any bottles or paper towels into the center of the floor. Then he does something where he half-heartedly "organizes" the dumbbells, but he essentially just takes the weights off of the rack puts one or two in the correct spot, then leaves the majority of them on the floor.

I'm sure it must be hard for him, too, but I honestly can't be there while he's there.

damn thats terrible. i had an OCD thing a few years back where i had an issue with cleanliness and everything just had to be 'perfect' but one day i woke up and realised what the fuck am i doing wasting time with that bull shit and stopped doing that shit virtually overnight lol

There's a guy at my gym who seems to be suffering from paranoid delusions. He thinks that people sneak up to him, spray him with chemicals that give him a headache and then run away. He has never been able to catch them in the act. He said that they even come to his home and spray under the door at night and run off laughing. I just nodded, smiled while slowly backing away muttering "People are like that sometimes" in order to do my next set.

He only works out while standing next to a fan to prevent the spray particles from getting to him. I don't have the balls to tell him he has a mental condition and should probably see a doctor.

I'd wash my face with her thong

I would dirty up my face with her thong

edit: and not wash it for 2 days

edit#2: and then I would kill her, drain her blood to a bathtub and take a bath in it
