Security, cost (free/open source), and freedom to do whatever the fuck I want.

I like Linux Mint. If I need to run anything from Windows I can just use Wine to emulate it or run it in a virtual machine.

All the tracking features and monitoring everything you do shit on Windows 10 is going implemented into Windows 7 and 8. Microsoft will have access to your family pictures, movies on your computer, your illegally pirated movies, music and games... all sent to Microsoft. Your picture will be taken if you have a webcam, Windows will take a screenshot of your desktop every few minutes and send to Microsoft..
