The Jewish guy had a good argument. There are many Jewish Holidays that are not recognized by the school board. Is the Jewish community up in arms about this?
The issue is that there are probably millions of holidays associated with thousands and thousands of different cultures and religions.
School boards have to draw the line somewhere. We may as well never send our kids to school. Just give them off every day, in order to recognize every single holiday of every culture and/or religion.
