Not a bad movie. Novel is a good read as well. Interesting concept. the idea of bodybuilders coming out into public and posing in the street (gaining mainstream attention). Quite a cast with Jeff Bridges, R.G. Armstrong, Arnold, Sally Field, Robert Englund and Roger Mosley (TC in Magnum PI). Ed Begley jr too as I recall.

Not sure if violent rape scene would be in a re-make.

Yup.  It was good fun and Sally Fields was a beauty in it.  I recall Arnold playing the tune "Soldier's Field" on the fiddle in it.

For anyone that wants to see it. I just remember it being a plodding film, although it has a great cast. P.S. - click the watch on youtube box on the right, for some reason it plays well there, but is a little mottled playing on the forum page.

Pretty cool - bodybuilding of old had more variety. There was more Hercules appeal to it.

best bit in the movie is the gym fight between bridges and armstrong, it looked pretty real, maybe even improvised
